CoolPhysio Launch Seminar

The CoolPhysio launch Seminar "New Horizons in Physiotherapy" was held on 23rd August 2015 at Hotel City Point, Dadar, Mumbai. Physiotherapists from Mumbai were invited for the seminar.

Manisha Sinha welcomed the participants followed by an introductory speech by Dr. Ekta Singhal, physiotherapist on board-CoolPhysio. Dr. Ekta highlighted some of the everyday problems faced by physiotherapists while practicing and their dealings with various patients.

The seminar unfolded with the launch and demo of CoolPhysio by Mr. Keshaw Sinha, the chief architect of the platform. Keshaw started the lecture by highlighting the need and relevance of CoolPhysio in modern physiotherapy practice. He further continued explaining the underlying research that was made by Team CoolPhysio before finalising its features. All the features of CoolPhysio were explained and demonstrated explicitly by Keshaw. The highlights of the demo were that the entire workflow of Pain and ADL, Observation, Examination, Treatment, Exercise Prescription and Documentation could be managed digitally and efficiently by the CoolPhysio platform.

The seminar also had three guest lectures for the benefit of the participating physiotherapists.

The first guest lecture was by Dr. Samir Pilankar, M.S. Ortho and an arthroscopic surgeon. He talked about  Arthroscopy of Knee and Shoulder and its relevance in Physiotherapy. The lecture was able to shed light on many issues related to knee and shoulder and the participating physiotherapists welcomed his suggestions on the same.

The second guest lecture was by Dr. Dipti Geete, M.P.T and an Assistant Professor at Seth G.S. Medical College, Mumbai. She talked in detail about physiotherapy intervention in Rotator Cuff Repair. Hers was an elaborate lecture consisting of well designed presentation slides, demonstrations and highly valuable information for the physiotherapists. The participating physiotherapists were seen taking down notes during her presentation.

The seminar concluded with a surprise guest lecture by Arvind Bhillare, a Pranic Healer. He spoke in brief about Pranic Healing and how it can be useful in healing physical and emotional ailments.

The seminar was well attended and appreciated by the participating physiotherapists. The officials of CoolPhysio said that they would conduct such informative seminars in future too for the benefit of the entire physiotherapist community, including students.
