Open access to Journal of Physiotherapy

Journal of Physiotherapy is the official journal of the Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA). The Editorial Board's mission is to publish significant research which has important implications for physiotherapy. APA's vision is for the journal to be the pre-eminent international publication of the science and practice of physiotherapy.

From 1st January 2016 the Australian Physiotherapy Association's (APA) Journal of Physiotherapy became a fully open access journal. With no need to register to access the content, it is being made freely available to anyone anywhere in the world from the day it is published. The APA is offering this as a service to international physiotherapy.

Australian Journal of Physiotherapy was first published in 1954; content from all issues back to Vol 1 No 1 will be available on the site http://www.journalofphysiotherapy.com/

In 2010 the journal title changed to Journal of Physiotherapy.

The Australian Physiotherapy Association supports members to deliver quality, evidence-based practice. It does this by providing: a comprehensive program of learning and development, cutting edge Conference programs, titling awards leading to Fellowship of the Australian College of Physiotherapists by Original Contribution, or Specialisation, access to research through support of PEDro and provision of a range of research resources, seeding grants to early researcher through the Physiotherapy Research Foundation, and publication of the Journal of Physiotherapy.
